Before I Die

Before I die, I want to live.
I want to feel,
express,
enjoy,
be sad,
cry,
laugh,
and have fun.

I have done those things,
but sometimes I measured them out
so as not to use them all up too soon.

How can I use up joy?
Or laughter?
Or watching a sunset?
And how can I use up my grief?
more things in store for me
When I'm grieving, I can know that I'm living.
They go together.
I'm glad that I understand this concept.
I would have missed so much without it.

I want more of this life, and I want it to last
for years and years and years.
Only quality times need apply.
Only true feelings need come around me.
No fakery please. That's not allowed.
I've had too much of that in my life.
I don't need any more.
